Hello crafty friends, there are some really fun Halloween products in the latest Scrappy Tails Harvest Blessings release, and I wanted to showcase these with a new to me product, Glow in the Dark embossing powder (these cards would also be awesome with regular embossing powder!)

For my first card, I wanted to showcase the Scrappy Tails Crafts Haunted House die. It would easily fit an A7 card, but I was happy to let it fill my usual A2 card design! I die cut the House from Matte Black card stock, adhered it to vellum and fussy cut to create windows. I adhered additional black die cuts behind.
I then die cut the slimline graveyard borders from black card stock and created a hinge by scoring on my score board. I adhered my house die cut on to the hinge piece.

I created a background by applying Versa mark ink through the Flying bats stencil on to black card stock and applying Glow in the Dark embossing powder. I repeated twice more for a thick, raised effect. I ink blended distress oxides in Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Fired Brick, Dusty Concord, Villainous Potion and Black Soot over the embossing powder.

I adhered the hinge behind my background panel, and then adhered the whole panel to a piece of A2 black cardstock. I adhered a 4" by 5 1/4" piece of white card stock on the card for my personal message.

For my second card, I created a background by applying Versafine ink through the Flying bats stencil on to black card stock and applying Glow in the Dark embossing powder. I repeated twice more for a thick, raised effect. I masked a moon shape and then ink blended distress oxides in Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Fired Brick, Dusty Concord, Villainous Potion and Black Soot over the embossing powder, going back over the masked area with mustard seed to finish.
I die cut the slimline graveyard border several times from black cardstock and once from white card stock, off setting slightly for a shadow effect. I adhered the border and background to a mini slimline black note card.

Thank you so much for reading my post, let me know if you've ever tried this embossing powder in the comments below.
