Three Ways: Hot Foil Pumpkins

Hey crafty friends, I recently bought a hot foil machine, which I am so enjoying practicing with - the shine of hot foil is incredible! The Hot Foil Pumpkins and Dies in the latest Scrappy Tails Harvest Blessings release are gorgeous and so easy to use.

To start, I foiled the Triple Pumpkin Hot Foil Plates several times using Copper hot foil and then die cut using the co-ordinating dies. I’m still new to hot foiling, but I’m really enjoying practicing and these pumpkins are so easy to use (the negative foil looks awesome when die cut too!)

For my first card I chose five shades of cardstock in shades of orange and green, and some matte gold cardstock, and then cut strips in varying sizes using my trimmer. I ran some adhesive across a white card stock panel and arranged the strips horizontally.
I stamped a sentiment from the Scrappy Tails Crafts - Deluxe Harvest Blessings Card Kit at the same angle below the card stock using black ink. I then arranged and adhered two hot foiled pumpkins, adding some stacked die cuts to add some dimension. I added some gold gems to the card for even more shine!

For the matching tag, I used some of the leftover card stock strips and adhered at an angle to a kraft tag from my stash. I then adhered one of the Hot Foiled Pumpkins with some additional die cuts for dimension, and finished with some of the gorgeous yellow pearls from the Scrappy Tails Crafts - Deluxe Harvest Blessings Card Kit (they have a beautiful gloss finish). I then threaded through some Floss in Yellow, Orange and Metallic Gold.

For my second card, I die cut Scrappy Tails Crafts Slimline Tiki Coverplate from white card stock, and then ran back through my die cutting machine with my embossing mat – this gives even deeper impressions of the Tiki pattern for a cool effect. I cut this at an angle and adhered to a slimline kraft note card. I added a gold card stock strip at an angle, and then adhered one of the Hot Foiled Pumpkins with some additional die cuts for dimension, and some Gold Pearls to finish.

Thank you so much for reading my post, let me know whether you prefer the A2 card, the slimline card, or the tag in the comments below.
