How To: Rainbow Card Set

bethanygracecreati9

I'm so excited to enter the latest A Blog Named Hero's Stay Crafty challenge. I was so inspired by this month's "Anything Goes" theme.

I started by stamping the beautiful Acanthus bold print in a variety of colours of dye ink on coloured card stock. I used similar shades for a tone on tone look.

I die cut several leaves, feathers and flowers in different shades of specialty card stock and added two white die cuts underneath these. I then die cut some sentiments in glitter card, and added additional white die cuts for dimension, and heat embossed some sentiment strips in white on black card stock.

I trimmed my panels to size - saving the scraps for later! - added these to top folding white note cards. I paired each die cut to a back ground and a sentiment or sentiment strip. I then finished with a variety of gems for extra sparkle. As a finishing touch, I stamped the Acanthus print on the flap of the envelopes in a subtle shade.

As a bonus card, I saved my scraps and added them to a piece of white printer paper. I then added a frame die around them, trimmed to size and added a gold leaf die cut, sentiment strips and bubbles.

I had so much fun with this theme, I hope you did too!
