If you’re looking for a way to create a simple but impactful card design, I’m sharing some easy ideas below.
Bold Colour
My first idea for creating an impactful card is choosing a vibrant colour scheme. On the card below I’ve used Distress Oxides in Carved Pumpkin, Broken China, Prize Ribbon, Villainous Potion on watercolour paper, then spritzed with perfect pearls water for a shimmery blend. I bought myself a colour wheel off Amazon and it’s super helpful in picking cohesive colour schemes! Pinterest and inspiration photos are also great ways to pick vibrant colours!

Dimension, Dimension, Dimension
My second tip for a dramatic effect is to stack your die cuts to add the look of dimension. I layered up three black die cuts using the cover plate included in the my monthly hero kit, which creates a lovely shadow in real life. You can also play around with colour or white die cuts under the black for a fun look.

Finishing Touches
My last idea for creating an impactful card is to think about all of the finishing touches. I added Glossy Accent to the fairy lights on the cover plate, as well as iridescent stars to the sky in the background.
