How To: Masculine Valentine’s card

Hello and happy new year crafty friends! Today I'm sharing an idea for a masculine Valentine's card.

To start, I cut a panel from white card stock and laid it on an embossing mat. I pounced some cream colour dye ink to the Hot Foil A2 snow background and carefully laid it on to my paper. I ran through my die cut machine for some subtle colour and texture. I added a gold mat behind and added to an A2 note card.

I die cut the Winter Layering Cardinal three times from light blue card stock and some of the layering pieces from a medium blue card stock, and the face and feet from a navy card stock. I adhered the layers and then added a black gem for the eye.
I die cut the tropical leaves from white glitter and pearlescent card stock, vellum, a peach and taupe card stock. I arranged the leaves and adhered to the panel. I then adhered my cardinal to one of the leaves with some foam tape behind the top of the cardinal so it was level with the leave die cuts.

For a sentiment I die cut the letters " X O " from The Flower Vase pop up die set three times from white card stock and once from matte gold card stock and adhered together to my card. I added some pearls around the card to finish.
I hope this gives you some inspiration for masculine cards and mixing old and new. Thanks so much for stopping by!
